Our Story
Everest Desserts started out with humble beginnings. After coming to the UK from India. Husband and wife, Zavid and Saista Maniar were settling in their new and unfamiliar settings. They soon realised how there was a lack of quality asian food and with Zavid having an insatiable sweet tooth he missed the classic Indian Ice cream “Kulfi”. This is a traditional ice cream made with boiled milk which was slightly condensed and caramel from the cooking process and flavoured with fruits, nuts or spices.
The husband and wife team set on seeing that the United Kingdom had a good supply of kulfi and started from their kitchen and Zavid set out knocking on the doors of every Indian restaurant he could find.
Fast forward 30 years and Everest Ices is a nationwide name throughout the restaurant and catering industry and even in the retail sector being sold in supermarkets.
Everest Ices is now being evolved into Everest Desserts as we offer a lot more than ice cream as we now have 3 facilities which manufacture chocolate products, cakes and ice creams.
